aaaaand the title pretty much sums up my Saturday night. In that order. Oh, yeah, Armand Van Helden was spinning at the Wave.

I love Wave Waikiki. It’s like a permanent part of Waikiki. I also love Armand Van Helden, who has been around a long time and, frankly, deserves your respect. He’s certainly better than the last deejay I actually paid money to see – Paul Oakenfold. (Who sucked, by the way. He trainwrecked twice in 30 minutes – unacceptable for a guy who claims to be the greatest deejay in the world. Then again, there are a lot of people who claim to be the greatest but actually suck. *cough* Tiesto *cough* )

I’m turning 34 next week. Wheee! (idiot)

Unfortunately, it’s NOT a permanent part of Waikiki. That triangle-shaped lot it sits in the middle of has been purchased, and now it’s pretty much curtains for The Wave. May she rest in peace.

In the words of Darth Vader: “NOOOOOOOO-O-O-O!!”

Bah. The Wave is unstopable. They’ll just move. They better. Then again, I spend more time downtown nowadays. I just went to Bar 35 last week, and that place is awesome.
