Cara didn’t even really like the sandwich.

Starbucks1.JPGI went to Starbucks (Airport Trade Center) to get a Turkey Pesto sandwich for Cara.

I think that’s right next to my favorite L&L, the 24 hour one!

I think it is ok to reach over the counter when the need arises. Relieve your stress.

I’m looking for a problem on the cashier’s end but can’t find it… maybe we’re just too sensitive these days??

Yeah, I don’t see anything wrong with the cashier… When I used to cashier I’d start to make change out of a $20 bill only to have the customer throw down $0.20 at the last minute to get even change back.

At least you still tipped her.

I see alot wrong with the way the cashier handled it. If she didn’t hear the order, she should have asked Lauren for a repeat. The fact that she drew it out to such absurd lengths indicated not only that she didn’t hear the order but that she didn’t have much interest in trying to hear it.

A cashier doing a good job would be proactive about what the cusotmer wants, not inactive. That is, they should be ready to hear it the first time, and should make every effort after that to minimize the amount of information a customer should have to repeat. That’s not being overly sensitive, that’s expecting the cashier to take her job seriously.

Ok, this shows a flaw in my writing because I had hoped to illustrate a situation in which several dissatisfactory actions were observed, rather than spell them out. But here you go. If you don’t agree with my objections, it’s perfectly fine, but criticizing me personally for it won’t particularly impress me.
