Olive Garden? Applebees?

Sometimes it’s maddening to be hungry and watching TV in Hawaii. We get commercials for places like Ollive Garden and Applebees – but neither of those restaurants exist here. I have no idea if either of those places are good. Or even good for you. Everyone tells me I’m not missing anything, but whatever. It still sucks.

I for one am glad those restaurants are not here because it would be just two more places for me to spend money on eating out.

What I really want are the complete seasons of Ally McBeal but they’re only available in the UK. Life is so unfair.

You been playing a lot of WoW recently!

The OG is not bad at all. You can fill up on soup and salad then take home the Entree. As a picky eater can say it pretty good.

As for the Applebee’s. They do suck. I have never had a good meal there period. I have been there 5 times so far and have yet to find something on the menu I truly like. Though the drink menu is fine.

Applebee’s is terrible. Imagine TGIFriday’s, except with worse food, worse service, and higher prices.

I love Olive Garden. Good for you? Not so much, but the food tastes amazing. They have the best tiramisu on the planet, and you get a ton of food for your buck. I want to cry each time their commercials come on.

You are not missing out on much with Applebees as for Olive garden … Ill go there since it is close, but if I really wanted Italian food I would go to Maggianos or Peppinos (Peppinos is more pizza oriented).

Trust me, you’re not missing anything. Bland chains with bland food. As it is, the explosion of chains in Hawaii took away some island flavor. Give me a real restaurant any day over a chain.

I really like OG. They play jazzy music, have friendly service, and great food. It is clean, and elegant. I love the complimentary salad and bread on the house.

I cry when I see OG commercials, too! I wish I went there more often when I was living on the mainland. I also miss Boston Market (I know, it’s cheapy food). They had a drive-thru so I could pick up some mashed potatoes and an entree and feel like I had a real meal, all the while in my jammies. They sell some Boston Market frozen foods now but it’s just not the same. Or Carrows! Gosh, I miss the mainland. Evil fattening food there, but it was sure tasty. And even fast food veggies were fresh and GOOD.

I just saw a few more CMs that drive me nuts. Kohl’s, Target (I hate them for having fab CMs), and what the heck is Burlington Coat Factory? Do we really need to see coats?

I for one really miss both Olive Garden and Applebee’s. Back in PA it was cheaper at Applebee’s than TGIF and they made an awesome steak!

I actually just emailed Olive Garden thru their website and they still have no future plans to build one here. I miss their Soup, Salad and breadsticks!!! It was so good.

Target – what are you waiting for. We need you. Walmart is taking over.
Kohls has such awesome sales that we’re missing out on…
Gosh, there isn’t even a JCPenny here!

We can do without Burlington Coat Factory… the most I ever need is a windbreaker.

I’d love to see Olive Garden and Target come here. Also would love to have Souplantation! That’s a fabulous venue.

Bring me an Olive Garden, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and Tar-jei (Target) and I’ll shut up forever:)

I love the Olive Garden!!! They have a good selection of wine there, and I have tried quite a few. And I am not even a wine drinker! They have a REALLY awesome drink that is called, I believe, Venitian Sunrise, i drink at least 3…heeheehee! I would Love for an Olive Garden to come to Hawaii. I heard a Rumor that there was one on another neighboring island (i live on Oahu)..is this True?
